- Betty Bodine is back at Q-94. Starting today she will be back with Jeff Wicker in the morning drive slot.
She replaces Gia (see below)

- Hey Hey Lisa McKay is leaving the Richmond area. After spending over 10 years in Richmond, much of it at WRVQ,
she is taking a job in Raleigh, NC at WQDR. Lisa will be program director and on the air at the country station.

- Jeff Wicker's side kick Gia has left and gone back to California. She has taken a job at a station near her home
to be closer to the father of her soon to be born child.
- There has been a big feud going on between WRVA afternoon guy Alan Price and Richmond City Council person
Reva Trammell. Price has referred to Trammell on the air as "Trampell", referring to her friendships with
married city police officers. Trammell has asked for an apology from Price. Of course, no apology has been forthcoming.
Trammell has requested that the city pull advertising from the station. Trammell has also threatened a lawsuit,
but nothing has been filed.

1-21-02 - The latest Richmond Radio news:
- Former WXGI host George Popkins, best known as "Pop the Storekeeper" passed away December 2, 2001.
He worked at WXGI frmo 1952 to 1986 and was program director for 22 years.

- Clear Channel has decided to not renew its contract with Metro Traffic. Rick Miller has lost his
job at Metro Traffic as a result. Randall Bloomquist has said that they have created their own in house traffic
reporting. Scott Stevens is the morning traffic reporter and new guy Paul Richards will do afternoon reports.

1-9-2002 - Local radio personality Bob A Lou passed away this morning. He was best known for his
time at Q-94 (WRVQ), where he was PD in the early eighties. He also spent a lot of time behind the
microphone and also had a brief stint on the "Q-Zoo". More recently he had been doing behind the scenes
work for Q. he will be missed.
